You are looking at a very late 1956 Corvette Convertible with factory 2×4 barrel carbs with correct engine code F56 FG indicating 1956 Corvette 265 with power glide transmission. This Vette also has factory power windows, factory power convertible top (not working) and a factory removable hardtop.
This is a very nice, older restoration on a very solid car to start with. The former owner had owned if for more than 20 years. He sent the top assembly off to a restorer who had a jig to mount the top on and make sure everything was installed correctly. He then powder coated the top frame and installed a high quality, canvas, convertible top.
The former owner had the engine completely rebuilt in 2008 and there has only been about 3,500 miles put on the car since then. I could not find any rust in any metal on the car frame and birdcage. It is a very nice car that runs just like you would expect it to. I feel that my price of $65,000 is very realistic for a vehicle like this one with the potential that this vehicle has.
